Bamboo Blade / Masahiro Totsuka / Aguri Igarashi

The series tells the story of Toraji Ishida, a hapless high school kendo teacher who is challenged by his former classmate, who is also a kendo teacher, to a competition between their female students. The bet inspires Toraji to assemble and train a team of five girls, where he meets Tamaki Kawazoe, a talented young kendo practitioner.
