Artie Deemer Mystery / Lover Man / Dallas Murphy

Artie Deemer lives off his dog Jellyroll, the most famous dog in the country, star of film, television and dog food commercials. Artie hangs out in his flat, smokes a little weed, listens to jazz and tries to keep the world away from him. But then his ex-lover Billie Burke is murdered and he receives a message from her: “I’m dead, darling. Get up out of your chair and look in the ice tub.” And so begins a wild, unpredictable ride. Artie becomes a sleuth against his will, dodging crooks, blackmailers, murderers and crazed fighter pilots as he tries to find Billie’s killer – without seeing her in the morgue.
