Two young people are lured to Xanth by an innocuous-looking computer game and compete for a valuable prize: Dug, who is beguiled by a beautiful snake princess, and Kim, who discovers that her favourite fantasy world has suddenly become terrifyingly real.

In a desperate race against time, Dug and Kim battle their way through the wondrous, dangerous land of Xanth, testing their mettle against dozens of terrifying obstacles (and their wits against a host of outrageous puns!).
