Five Girls / Sam Haskins

Erotic black and white photographs of 5 women from 1962. Five Girls represents many things to me. A serious project that served as a clearing house for graphic ideas that were floating around in the back of my head. A fun project that was a relief from highly disciplined commercial illustration. A way to control the whole cycle of a project, from the initial conception of the idea and choice of approach, through the photographic processes and selection of images, to the final detailed layout and design. I don’t like to dream of explanations for my work. Therefore, this book is quite simply thinking images for me. Sam Haskin
