Murder among Friends / E. X. Ferrars

In wartime London wardens are checking for lights in the blacked out streets, but inside Cecily Lightwood’s flat a party is in progress. Many people from the literary world and artistic world are invited but although Cecily is radiant, the party is not going well. Aubrey Ritter from the upstairs flat, eagerly awaited by everyone, fails to show. The reason for this becomes clear when Aubrey’s body is discovered and the search for the murderer begins.
