Requiem for a Blonde / Kelley Roos

The last of their American Magazine novellas to feature the Troys was “Final Performance” (1951). This was later expanded into the book Requiem for a Blonde (1958) also known as Murder, Noon and Night. The original novella title is something of a pun. The story is about a reunion of actresses, and does indeed involve a character’s final performance. It is also the farewell appearance of the Troys, until their return in One False Move (1966).
