Both Scryed series have the same basic premise. An area in Japan rose into the sky one day, and a small percentage of the children born there were given superpowers known as Alters. These can range from a stance to creating their own being, enhancing their own body or even healing others. The world is a wasteland, similar to the world of Fist of the North Star, and our hero Kazuma resembles its protagonist Kenshiro. Kazuma is known as a traitor, taking jobs offered to him by his friend Kimishima, usually saving children from evil Alter Users. He lives with a young girl he takes care of, Kanami. Early on, he bumps into Ryuho, a member of Holy, a police force dedicated to keeping order on the last soil. Kazuma escapes, but vows to kick Ryuho’s butt the next time they meet. Kazuma becomes famous for taking down corrupt Holy officers, and soon Ryuho is at his doorstep. The two head off into the middle of nowhere to fight, and an epic battle ensues.
